This is an interest box, its full capabilities is yet to be discovered. I am using it for YouTube and phone mirror now. I will need to explore how to rent movie online. The price is RM449, bought from an Apple shop in Digital Mall. It is more expensive as compared to US price at USD 99, but this is normally the case, it is not yet available officially in Malaysia. It is brought in from Australia, even the power plug is Australia type, which I have to get an adaptor in order to get it connected to power supply.
From forum, many apps support extended screen feature. Which allow your iPhone or iPad to have dual screens kind of effect. Especially when you play game, then your iPhone/iPad will turn into touch screen control, and AppleTV will be your game console screen.
All Apple devices screen can be mirrored or rendered to this AppleTV (some by apps, some by device). For Mac, you can now watch movies from Mac into bigger screens, which is your TV set. But the problem now facing is how to make screen resolution full high definition. Some apps in iPad, like Pages, Keynotes etc are rendering at high definition resolution only.
